Looney Tunes Screensaver – Free Screensaver with All Your Favorite Looney Tunes Characters
This is a simple, easy to use screensaver for the Microsoft-developed Windows operating system, screensaver that your child might enjoy – you might enjoy it also, assuming of course you, like me, are a Looney Tunes fan. I mentioned before that Looney Tunes Screensaver is “simple”; by that I mean this is nothing more than a simple slideshow screensaver.
Looney Tunes Screensaver shows up when your computer goes idle, displays an image for 10 seconds (that’s the default setting), then uses a transition effect to move to another image, displays that for 10 seconds, then uses another transition effect to move to another image, and so on and forth. The screensaver will go through 20 different images, using various transition effects to switch from one image to another – that’s how slideshow screensavers work.
I also mentioned Looney Tunes Screensaver is “easy to use”. What I meant by that is that you can easily play with this screensaver’s settings. From the settings pane you will not have any problems playing with the following:
- Select the order in which the images will be displayed.
- Select the amount of time an image will be displayed before transitioning to the next image.
- Select what transition effects the screensaver will use.
- Select the speed of the aforementioned transition effects.
- Adjust the screensaver’s behavior. You can set it up so the screensaver doesn’t exit when you move the mouse for example.
Before you go get Looney Tunes Screensaver and put it to the test, take a look at the technical details presented below:
Download – the download weighs in at 2.7MB.
Supported OS – at the time of writing this and according to the developer, Looney Tunes Screensaver provides support for Windows 95, 98, 2000, ME, NT, Windows XP and Windows Vista. Tested the screensaver on Windows 7 and it seems to work fine on this Windows version as well.
Limitations – there are none since this application is freeware. You can use it free of charge for as long as you want.

Cons

Pros
- Numerous transition effects

Cons
- When the installation process completes, Internet Explorer (IE, not your default browser) launches and you are directed to the dwalls.com site.
- Creates desktop shortcuts without asking (a preview Looney Tunes Screensaver link and a 3D Screensavers link that leads to ssaver.org).
- Changes Internet Explorer’s home page to knightstar.net; not your default browser’s homepage, IE’s homepage.
